After one very ill sickness, Wang Chung Jen looks much on food ingredients and cook wares.

   At the age of 48, I was informed by the doctor that I’ve got colon cancer stage II, my life from that moment has fallen into unprecedented misery.

 

In the medical perspective, life expectancy for five years of Colon cancer stage II is about 70~80% . Though the rate is not very low, the situation after treatment won’t be so bad, either. But the procedure of treatment is endurable and painful. In order to let the 5 cm of malignant lump in my large intestine shrink and reduce the scope of operation, during five months, I simultaneously, precede partially electricity treatment and whole body chemotherapy.

 

25 times of chemotherapy are divided into five weeks. Five days per week. It is a invasive treatment. Though every time only take 10 minutes, as I go for over 10 times, my skin begins to be broken. It becomes very painful as I got to poo, too. As the only side effect of chemotherapy is increasing times of poo. The maximum for me to got the runs is 20~ 30 times per day, I could hardly get any sleep, which is miserable beyond descriptions.

    Though Chemotherapy treament goes every two weeks, it’s not easy at all. For all the side effects of this, for examples, disgusting vomit, hands and feet numb, drops hair… They all happened to me. What makes me suffer more is, I really want to vomit, but I still need to force myself to eat stuffs. Why? Only increase and supply nuturion can give me more stregth to through chemotherapy. Especially afer treatment, the amount of luekocytes will be reduced. If we didn’t via food in time to add the amout of luekocytes, I can not go for another chemotherapy. If so, the chance to be cured will be delayed. It happened to me, on account that my luekocytes are not reached to enough amount, I have to wait for 6 more weeks for another chemotherapy. It goes without saying, the expense are many hundred thousand dollars high, if I didn’t save enough in normal days, I couldn’t make it.

    Through the pain of cancer, I realize the importance of health. Besides, all the diseases are caused by eating, especially for colon cancer.

 

    I was born in the era of lackage. Because my family is not very rich. As I was a little boy, I think profoundly that if we have food to eat which is happiness. No waste is allowed. It’s been so long, I have been very cherished food and save things as nature. It goes to far even the food has been put in refrigarator for over 10 to 20 days, only it doesn’t taste sour, I will eat it. I never think of the expiry date. More over, the year before I got cancer, I not only worked but also wrote the essay of graduated school, always stay up and eat very late which all caused my health going down so rapidly.

   

During the period of anti- cancer, I re-arrange my eating orders. That is, first alkalinity food, then acidity one. First vegetable and fruits, then fish, meat and protein. And follow the rules of less salt, less oil, less monosodium glutamate, I especially love Paruah’s cookwares, because use it to cook, even we don’t put any oil or salt, it can make food tasty. I use the cook ware to cook food for kids as well.

 

    Especially till the age like us, over half of one hundred, we can start to enjoy all kinds of food with their own nature taste. So under this condition, cookware matters!
